Soloedition

Inspiration for your own artistic development

Students in the final year of the BA Dance program develop performative solo works with a view to deepening and developing their own dance-artistic work . This process is closely connected to their chosen profile and guided by a mentor from the fields of choreography, dance, dramaturgy or performance. Students select a mentor based on their own interests in dance or mediation in dance.

As part of the SOLOEDITION format, graduating BA Dance students at the Centre for Contemporary Dance / University of Music and Dance Cologne offer insights into their artistic practice. With a focus on deepening and further developing their own dance artistry and in close connection to their chosen profile (Performative Practice or Dance Mediation), the students create performative solo works. They are each mentored by professionals from the fields of choreography, dance, dramaturgy, or performance, whom they select based on their individual interests and focus areas.
