Publications

The teaching staff of the Cologne University of Music and Dance addresses the public with a wide variety of music- and dance-related publications. The publications include books on music, musical textbooks, editions of sheet music, and scholarly articles. The university publication series "Musik - Kultur - Geschichte" (Music - Culture - History) and "musicolonia" (Musicolonia) publish outstanding research contributions that have been produced in connection with the academic professors or projects at the university. The musicological series "Music - Culture - History" is published by Königshausen & Neumann in Würzburg, "musicolonia" is published by Dohr in Cologne in a high-quality edition (hardcover, thread-stitching). Excellent music pedagogical publications are co-edited, among others, by two professors of the university in the peer-reviewed series "Perspektiven musikpädagogischer Forschung" (Perspectives on Music Pedagogical Research) published by Waxmann-Verlag. Teachers of dance studies are, among other things, co-editors of the yearbooks of the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung (transcirpt), publish in the only peer-reviewed journal of dance studies, the Dance Research Journal, contribute to textbooks and handbooks (Routledge Dance Studies Reader, Handbuch für Theater- und Tanzwissenschaft, Lehr- und Handbuch Tanzpädagogik) and publish the results of their research in monographs.
